Lindsay Skipper, Owner & Strolling Violinist
I grew up in a musical family in Raleigh, NC and founded Elegant Violin in 2010. For the first decade, I was the sole violinist…and also moonlit as a Spanish teacher. As demand grew and my husband’s ministry job took us to Cincinnati, I built a curated team of exceptional violinists to help more events sound unforgettable.
In addition to leading Elegant Violin, I enjoy homeschooling my two boys, keeping up my Spanish, and spending time outdoors with my family.

Muning
“Our guests raved about how talented she is!” Originally from Beijing, Muning (“moo-NEENG”) grew up in a musical family. She is completing her doctorate studies in music. She’s performed with orchestras in Australia, Austria, and Ireland. She also teaches music and is a pet lover!
Abbie
“I could listen to her all day.” Abbie calls Cincinnati home and earned a degree in Violin Performance and Music Education at Miami University. Now “retired” from teaching orchestra, she stays busy with her four kids. Abbie bakes cakes for special events and loves yoga!
Julia
“She played a beautiful set…kind and easy to coordinate with”. A Pittsburgh native, Julia holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Violin Performance. She plays regularly with professional orchestras in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Julia loves to sew and spend time outdoors!
Mikayla
“Played beautifully... made our wedding feel like a fairytale!” Mikayla grew up in a musical family and began playing the violin at age 11. She studied music in college, where she focused on performance and teaching. Mikayla is a mom to three boys and also a violin teacher!
Marissa
“She created a moment that will surely last forever. Truly such a talented musician.” Born and raise in Kentucky, Marissa began learning the violin at age six. She studied Violin Performance at the University of Kentucky and worked for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. She and her musician husband love to travel!
Polly
“The guests adored her…she played so beautifully and made my wedding a fairytale”. Polly graduated with a degree in Music Performance from Northern Kentucky University. She’s toured in Ireland, Hungary, Romania, and the Netherlands. Polly and her husband have two daughters and are avid backpackers!

Ashley
“I was blown away…so many guests complimented her playing.” Ashley is an accomplished classical and bluegrass violinist based. She’s performed in concerts with Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli can be seen in the North Carolina Opera, Ballet, and Symphony. Ashley is a mom of five and a violin teacher!
Christina
“She provided lovely music”. Christina studied violin at both the undergrad and graduate levels at East Carolina University in violin. Many Triangle families know her as their violin teacher. Christina is a mom of two and enjoys playing board games with her friends and family!
Angela
“Angela’s performance was absolutely beautiful, adding an elegant and heartfelt touch.” A former violin professor, Angela moved to NC from Los Angelas where she performed at The Oscars, The Grammys, and with stars like Kanye West and Michael Bublé. Now she enjoys playing with the NC Symphony, Ballet, and Opera.
Anne
Originally from California where she got her bachelors in violin performance, Anne toured with Chicago the Musical in South Korea. She is available to perform as a Strolling Violinist for an upgrade. She loves playing video games, hiking, swimming, and her three cats.
Craig
“Played beautifully, and really added ambiance and formality to the evening.” A graduate of the UNC School of the Arts, Craig is not only an accomplished violinist but also an active composer, pianist, vocalist, and music educator. He is a competitive swimmer and enjoys backpacking with his family and friends.
Patricia
“The romantic sound of her performance made our wedding even more special.” Patrica studied violin at both the college and Master’s level. She has decades of experience performing with orchestras and also teaches. A proud mom of two music adult children, she enjoys going to the gym and performing recitals.

Administrative Assistant
Ashley grew up playing clarinet and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill. Based in Wake Forest with her husband and three kids, and was an elementary teacher. She and Lindsay have been friends since middle school!
Katrina
Raleigh Production Assistant
Katrina has had a lifelong love of music enriched by years of piano and guitar lessons. She lives in Wake Forest, NC with her family. She loves being outdoors with her daughters and gardening.
Ella
Cincinnati Production Assistant
A Kentucky native, Ella graduated from Northern Kentucky University’s School of the Arts. She has a background in musical theater and administration, and is tying the knot this fall. Ella danced for over 15 years and loves to hit the dance floor!
